Spruce Meadows Leg Up Foundation
Since opening its doors in 1975, communities from Calgary, Alberta and Canada have supported the endeavors of Spruce Meadows. Spruce Meadows mandate has been to be committed to returning that generosity by giving back to the community in meaningful ways, Spruce Meadows is open 365 days a year for all to enjoy and the cost of admission during the show jumping tournaments is still only five dollars, with children under 12 and seniors complimentary. The Spruce Meadows Leg Up Foundation is our new initiative – a charitable arm - and another way for us to have a positive impact on our communities in Alberta.
The Foundation is committed to supporting education, health, wellness, amateur and grassroots sports and will be raising funds throughout the year for these key areas. We are proud of the fact that we support a broad range of initiatives and charities from families facing illness of a child, organizations that assist in our community, to student athletes. With your support, we are creating positive change and touching the lives of thousands.
The new initiative fits with the original Spruce Meadows mandate, which is still the foundation of Spruce Meadows today, to ensure that Spruce Meadows has a positive impact on the quality of life of people that live in the community and to helping the community be a stronger place – through teamwork The Spruce Meadows Leg Up Foundation wants to give our community a Leg Up. A natural outcome of this mandate was the creation of the Spruce Meadows Leg Up Foundation, the charitable arm of Spruce Meadows.
